Travel has always been the family business. Fiji Vacations was spun off from Great Destinations, the travel company built by Melissa's parents, whose decades of guiding travelers across the globe instilled a rare blend of expertise, integrity, and genuine care. That heritage — and the longevity behind it — is woven into everything we do today.
In 1995, Melissa purchased the fijivacations.com domain and set out to do something few in the industry dared: devote herself entirely to a single destination. Where Great Destinations spanned the world, Fiji Vacations would go deep rather than wide — trading breadth for true mastery of 333 islands and one singular focus.
What started as a passion project has grown into the most trusted name in Fiji travel. We've personally visited every property we recommend, cultivated exclusive partnerships with the finest resorts, and developed relationships that span generations of Fijian families — a dedication that led Forbes Magazine to call Melissa the "Queen of Fiji."
