Location

Castaway Island (Qalito Island in Fijian) is approximately 30 kilometers (or 18 miles) from Nadi international airport on Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu.



How to Get There

Arrive at Castaway Island Resort by scheduled 1 ½ hours launch transfer operated by South Sea Cruises from Port Denarau. There are two high speed catamarans The Tiger IV or Cheetah that departs from Port Denarau 4 times a day beginning at 9.00am. 12.15pm, 3.15pm, 5.30pm. Transfer time may vary depending on departure time as routes differ.
Island Hoppers provides air transfers and it takes approximately 15 minutes and it departs either from Nadi International Airport or Denarau. Departure times are notified 24hours prior to travel.
Pacific Island Seaplane provides Seaplane transfers and it takes approximately 15 minutes and departs ONLY from Nadi International Airport.
Mamanuca Express and Ocean Charters offer a water taxi services 24 hours a day, approximate time 70 minutes and departs from Denarau Marina.
Launch & Air Transfers are subject to weather conditions.



Description

Castaway Island, Fiji is an iconic private island escape embodying the heart and soul of the South Pacific. The island’s 174 acres are covered in rich tropical rainforest, surrounded by white sand beaches, vibrant coral reefs and azure waters. Castaway is reminiscent of a traditional Fijian village, nestled amongst lush tropical gardens with individual thatched roofed bure accommodation. Traditional high vaulted, hand painted tapa lined ceilings enhance the Fijian experience. Island, Ocean View or Beach bures each feature one king size bed and most include two additional single beds in their configuration, with those bures comfortably sleeping up to four persons. The Family Beach bure sleeps up to ten persons. All bures are spacious, air-conditioned, feature quality inclusions and have a welcoming island ambience.

Notes and Information

Wet Landing
Castaway Island Resort does not have a jetty on the island. Clients need to be prepared for a “Wet Landing” i.e. upon reaching the resort via the resort’s tender they will be required to step in to the water (level would be just above ankles) and walk to the shore.

Cancellations within 21-7 days prior to check in will incur a charge of 1 nights’ accommodation.
