Barefoot Manta Island Resort Fiji is environmentally conscious with 21 beach front rooms (bures) literally a step to the sand and only steps to warm crystal-clear waters. Shrouded in lush coconut palms our resort is renowned for its Snorkeling with Fiji Manta Rays experience and features 3 white sand beaches offering high & low tide swimming plus the best snorkeling in Fiji accessible from the beach.

It’s not a 5-star resort but more a 5-star Robinson Crusoe experience. If you were going to be shipwrecked, this is where you’d want to land.

Location

The Yasawa Islands are a stunning archipelago in northwest Fiji and shoot location of the 1949 film & 1980 remake Blue Lagoon. There is minimal tourism development in the Yasawa Islands, its breathtaking land & seascape remain in pristine condition and its unique Fijian cultural heritage remains intact. The people of the Yasawa Islands even have their own Fijian dialect.

How To Get There

The Yasawa Islands are easily accessible from from Port Denarau, Nadi using South Sea Cruises ferry service. It’s a stunning scenic transfer to Barefoot Manta Island Resort, leaving in the morning you’ll arrive before lunch.

Description

The eco-friendly Barefoot Manta Resort is a perfect place for swimming, diving, and snorkeling. All bungalows are set on the beach, and guests can enjoy a number of recreational activities on site or nearby, including volleyball, kayaking, and hiking. The onsite kitchen serves Pacific Island-style dishes using locally sourced produce as well as other cuisine. There is a compulsory resort package that includes meals, the use of Wi-Fi, non-motorized water sports (excludes scuba diving) at an additional charge. Lovely sea and beach views are offered from all bungalows. Some bungalows feature a private bathroom, with hot water facilities only available in selected rooms. The property is also home to a manta ray research station. Diving courses can be arranged prior to arrival.
