Authentic Fiji Family Fun at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort

Authentic Fijian Family Fun at Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort

OUTLagoonFiji_Pool6

Tucked in the heart of Fiji’s Coral Coast on the west coast of the main island of Viti Levu, you’ll find Outrigger Fiji Beach Resort. The luxury, five-star resort is family-friendly and showcases Fijian traditions with five restaurants, six bars, a full-service spa, pools including an adults-only pool, a fitness center, tennis courts, a driving range, and conference facilities.

It is a great choice for the whole family because it has nannies for the kids, Kids Eat Free, an awesome pool and children/teen activities galore. Kids will love the traditional fire walking experience every Tuesday, performed by the Beqa Fire Walkers. This is pretty cool because you can’t find too many resorts in Fiji that showcase this fire walking ceremony. Couples can also escape the kids here with adult-only dining and a beautiful hilltop spa that you’ll never wanted to leave!

Fijian nannies for kids

Meimei nannies are available for children six months through 12 years of age from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. Fijians are some of the friendliest, kind and caring people you’ll ever meet. We’ve had many families say they come to Fiji every year just because their children get cared for by Fijian nannies. In fact, we’ve heard many stories of kids remembering their nanny every year and asking their parents to come back to Fiji to see them.  We’ve also heard stories of kids crying and being loud until their nanny spends a day with them. After they are with their nanny, they only cried when they had to leave them.

Kid’s club and teen activities

Kids club activities (for kids 3-12 years old) include water polo at the pool, fun Fijian games, meal time and tender loving care from the nannies. Kids also eat free at the resort! Teen activities (for teens 13 and older) include spear making, a trip to the sand dunes, hikes, and time to play in the pool and ocean.  A student exchange trip to a local Fijian high school is also included.  The program is designed to be culturally enriching, educational, and fun.

Talai butler service

OUTLagoonFiji_AccomBure9

Here’s a special service for the whole family. Outrigger has trained 16 employees to offer a Talai butler service. This service is available to guests staying in Deluxe Ocean View rooms, suites, and bures. Butlers are amazing because they will do so much like unpack your clothes, iron, and deliver late afternoon champagne and appetizers to rooms. They will also assist with making reservations for the restaurant, spa, salon, and tours. Butlers are available from 7 a.m. until 11 p.m. daily.

Fijian-born, five-star executive chef

For a night away from the kids, the resort’s fine dining option is Ivi Restaurant. It is an adults-only, intimate “old world” plantation-style restaurant serving Pacific Continental cuisine. Executive Chef Shailesh Naidu is a native Fijian who has led the culinary team in receiving many awards. Chef Naidu is the President of the Fiji Chefs Association and the first Fijian-born, five-star executive chef in Fiji and is the nation’s most decorated chef.

Bebe Spa

Bebe Spa is located on a beautiful hilltop overlooking the ocean. Local villagers call it Vakalomalagi Hill “Heavenly Hill” and the spa experience is like no other. The spa has eight treatment rooms with private open-air balconies that reveal sweeping views of the Coral Coast. All balconies feature unique “Showers in the Sky” and four of these balconies provide hydrotherapy tubs for complete relaxation. Signature treatments use local ingredients and Fijian techniques as well as the finest spa products from Pevonia Botanica.
